In this remodel the implementation of an open concept was crucial in making the kitchen functional and comfortable for a young family. Opening the kitchen to an adjacent & underutilized sunroom allowed for easy circulation throughout the ground floor. The kitchen transitions into lounge beyond the breakfast bar seating that can transition with the family’s needs: from lounge to homework to home office. This space is truly evergreen!
Natural light illuminates the space with double French doors opening to the backyard. Contrasting cabinetry on the far wall employs a shoe bench in lieu of a mudroom to more effectively utilize space in front of the side entrance to the home. Subway tile, stone counter top, white shaker cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances all contribute to the clean look of this timeless and now functional kitchen.
